OVERTHOUGHT RANT #1

Who am I? Despite multiple attempts, I can't find an answer to this question. Twitter, Instagram, blogger, almost every social media app or site would ask this question: description, or about. But what do I answer? I'm just a teenager like many others who are scraping through school, have a loving family and friends, and are trying to figure out what to do in life. Yet, I'm unique. I'm unique because, in a world of 7.9 billion, there's only one me. There's only one girl whose mind I can read and whose thoughts keep me up. I'm nobody in a crowd yet I'm everything to me. MY thoughts, MY dreams, MY problems matter most to me.

We are all a pile of bones and skin, we all have the same organs and the same features on our face. Yet we are so different from each other because each life in that 7.9 billion is rare, is worth living, and has a story to tell. We are all so unimportant to each other, yet everything to ourselves. We all have our problems to deal with, our insecurities, our pints of happiness, but have one world to share. There is the same sky above all of our heads and the same earth we all walk on, so why are other lives so meaningless to us?

There's beauty everywhere. There are very few people who can appreciate beauty. Who can see beauty beyond the sight they see, beyond the actions, intentions, beyond the feelings. Who can unravel it for its simplicity, and yet find depth in it. There are so many definitions of what can be beautiful to a mind:  sights, thoughts, actions, emotions... There are countless forms. Beauty is everywhere, there is beauty in the girl that dances freely and only for herself, there is beauty in images of innocence, in music so intense, that it captures the soul. There is also beauty in blood. There is beauty in depth and in detail. In actions of the angels and the fallen. In life and in death. So why do we not see it?

If Only We'd open our minds and appreciate everything. There's so much to be happy about, so much to care for and so much to look at. There would be times when we'd be lonely or sad, when we'd lose hope or lose focus but it can all come to an end. We have so much to live for: people close to us, our dreams, our world, and most of all, us. We can never be hopeless as long as we have us, and we'd always have us. Believing in yourself, in your power, and having faith in goodness is the first step towards anything. Always love yourself, even in sickness and in the hurricanes of dark decisions, because you are your best hope and the brightest light.πŸ’“
